About Our Pastor
Pilgrim’s current Pastor is the Rev. James W. Kreft.
Pastor Kreft is a 1981 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. He has been in parish ministry for 25 years, serving congregations in Indiana before coming to Pilgrim. Pilgrim is his third parish.
Our Pastor’s personal mission is best summed up with this statement: “I help you find your place in God’s story.” Let’s let him explain this in his own words.
“Everyone has a place in God’s family. Everyone has a place in the continuing salvation story. My primary role is to help reconnect people to a relationship with their Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. That gives them their place in God’s continuing salvation story.

“We’re seeking to align all we do here at Pilgrim to help people come to a relationship with Jesus and then, once they have that relationship, help them find the calling God has for them, equip them to live out that calling, and then put them into the ministry God has prepared for them to do.
“It all begins with helping people see their part in God’s continuing salvation story—as is so eloquently expressed in the words of John 3:16 and 17: ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him might not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son in to the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.’
“Brought back into that relationship through Christ, we then can find the calling God has for us and live it out in who we are and all that we do.
“Come join us as we’ll help you find your place in God’s story for you and your life.
Regards, in Christ,
Pastor Jim Kreft
