About Our Director of Music
We’d like to introduce you to our Director of Music, Michael Rossi.
Michael is a graduate of the prestigious Manhattan School of Music and is currently enjoying performing as Second Trumpet with the Kennedy Center Opera Orchestra. While attending school, he also served as the Minister of Music at Resurrection Parish in Randolph, New Jersey.
As a trumpet player, pianist, organist and conductor, Michael possesses an unusual range of talents that will benefit our worship here at Pilgrim.
He especially looks forward to working with the Junior Choir. While attending school in Manhattan, Michael served as the Chorus Director for the Manhattan School of Summer Music Camp where he provided choral leadership to over 200 inner-city children. In addition, he started a children’s choir at his former parish in Brooklyn, building it to over 30 voices.
Michael also enjoys the administrative and organizational challenges that come with a position such as ours and he is eager to bring it all together in service to our Lord.
On behalf of the Music Search Committee, we look forward to Michael’s direction of our music program, and we rejoice that the Lord has led us to a Christian musician of his caliber!
