Women’s Guild
The Pilgrim Women’s Guild sponsors the following activities and outreach.
Rainbow Place Shelter
Rainbow Place Shelter is an emergency shelter in Rockville, Maryland, for homeless women. Serving 
others. The shelter is open from November 1st through March 31st. It welcomes up to thirty women per night.
Pilgrim women provide 2-3 casseroles per month as well as desserts. At Christmas time, gifts of warm clothing are given to the homeless women also.
Anyone willing to help with this outreach program should talk to the head of the Women’s Guild.
Coffee Hour
Our coffee hour every Sunday, following the 11:00 A.M. service, is a time for fellowship with visitors, new members, and longtime members.
We appreciate all the women who take their turns being hostesses. We especially appreciate Alberta Bartkus, who has been reminding the weekly hostesses for fourteen years.
We look forward to this important part of our church life every Sunday.

The Women’s Guild also serves as Pilgrim’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary League” (L.W.M.L.).
The LWML is a missionary organization that sponsors missions in the states around Bethesda, Maryland, Women serving in the churchacross the United States, and around the world.
Mites collected by members are the primary means through which the LWML funds these mission projects. The pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters the women add up to several million mission dollars each year as the LWMLer’s of Pilgrim join with their sister LWMLer’s from across Maryland and the country to support mission work.

The Women’s Guild is open to all women members and friends of Pilgrim Lutheran. If you’d like to find a place to serve, join them at their 10:30 AM meeting on the second Saturday of September through May. You’ll find a place to serve!
