Worship
We currently are offering two types or styles of worship services.
First, we offer a “traditional” liturgical service each Sunday morning at both 8:30 and 11:00 AM. At Pilgrim Lutheran we use Lutheran Service Book as our primary service hymnal since early 2007. We’ve used both Setting One and Setting Two of the Divine Service. We also use other worship forms on occasion.
In addition to the hymns and canticles from Lutheran Service Book, we add other songs from time to time. These range from children’s songs taken from Sunday School or Vacation Bible School to contemporary Christian songs. In choosing to do so we try to meet the varied needs and tastes of our worshiping community.
Second, we offer a Contemporary worship service on the third Sunday of each month during the 11:00 AM service. While our order of worship follows the basic service from of the Divine Service, we use a wide variety of songs from different musical styles. If you enjoy a different worship style join us for the contemporary service.
So come join us for either a traditional or contemporary service. We offer both to best meet your needs.
