Sunday School Room Renovation Project
The Church Council has authorized a long-term fundraising project to raise funds to renovate our Sunday School classrooms. The first room to be renovated would be room 105/107 (top right), currently used by Ginny Davis’ 3rd — 5th grade class and Laura Weihrauch’s Middle School class.
The plan is to upgrade the current divider with one that is more soundproof. The current divider provides little, if any, sound reduction between the two sides of the room. In addition, the tile floor would be carpeted over. This picture of the German classroom (above) gives an idea of what a renovated room might look like with a better divider and carpeted floor. Finally, we will also look into purchasing new tables and chairs for the room to replace our well-used furniture.
As of yet we do not have estimates of the project’s cost nor do we have a time by which this project needs to be completed. The idea is to begin to raise funds through various ways as we begin to get the project cost estimates.
As a beginning step all funds donated at the Lenten Soup Suppers will be designated for this project.
If you would like to support this project, please put the note “Sunday School Room Renovation” on your check. Thank you.
