Intergenerational Sunday School
This coming Sunday, June 27th, will be the last of our Intergenerational Sunday School sessions here at Pilgrim Lutheran during the Sunday School hour that begins at 9:30 AM.
An Intergenerational Sunday School involves having all classes (nursery through adult) meet together in one group. There would be different parts to the event: music, lesson, crafts, and refreshments. We want to:
- get the generations to interact with one another.
- provide an opportunity for Sunday School students who do not have grandparents in the area have Pilgrims fill that role in some way.
- be an event that Pilgrims will want to invite other Pilgrims to participate in.
- provide an event that Pilgrims will want to invite their friends to come to and participate in with them at their church.
- provide a way not to separate but bring families together.
We’ll meet at the stage-end of the Fellowship Hall for our session. Each week we’ll have refreshments, singing, games, craft projects, a puppet skit, and an interactive lesson. You’ll find that it’s not designed just to educate you, but to have you be a means through which God can work in the life of another to encourage their spiritual formation.
No matter what your age, come and participate. You’ll find a place for you in our Intergenerational Sunday School. We’ll see you there!
